<p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>is so important. It's very much as a water waste water company. It's the heart of what we do. We feel that we have been doing all this time anyway. But to have it as a rules, regulations, compliance requirements, actually, not only is it a threat that we always look at it as a threat, but as an opportunity to highlight what we have been doing</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>and by having a collaboration of insurers, brokers and professionals coming together, we can address it together rather than just addressing it ourselves. So if I just let you know in terms of how we assess insurance, price is only 35%</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>so quality ESG risks and claims that makes up 65%. And what we are trying to promote with insurers in this conference is yes, you are working hard in complying with your ESG requirement, and so are we. But it's by working together.</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>We actually get the solution. So we are giving marks, you know by saying OK, tell us what you are doing on the ESG front, but tell us how you can make a difference with us</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>to be able to comply and move towards complying with climate change, you know? So I was talking to one of the insurers and he's saying, Are you planting 1 million trees? We will come over and help you plant them, you know? And that's the changing of mindset, that this is not just what you do, but this is something that we can do together.</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>The whole idea was born from the need to address the risk and threat brought about by Brexit. You know, we we talk about EU and what's happening over there. And yet at our doorstep, you know, we are not even addressing those unique risk exposure between Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland,</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>and then they came together. Last year, for the first time, we realised that Wow, that's real opportunity, not just managing the threat by coming together. And for that one day conference, we start coming together to talk about, you know, Captain, the airline industry, environmental, and we start looking at How can the island of Ireland provide a platform you know, not only into UK not only into EU, but to the Americas and the world.</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>And that's why, given the success of last year, this year will be a bigger event because we have realised that it's only by coming together and addressing the risks and opportunities unique to the island of Ireland will then benefit UK, EU and the greater part of the world. Because why, in the Ame membership? Yes, we have smaller companies like ourselves. We have so many multinational companies,</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>you know, and it's by coming together that we work together and identify solutions, and it's been a real privilege for me to work with them.</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>The special interest group I'm involved in is the water, you know, in the beauty of A is this quality information and learning from the insurers. Brokers and everyone coming together assume many different materials, but for me, the icing on the cake</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>it SI G</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>because it's in the SI G for the water one, for example. You know, anytime I have any problems or questions, I just ask a question. And within 24 hours I get a reply back.</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>It's all confidential and only unique to the members, so we bring expert in to talk about environmental and all the different things. And then we say goodbye, you know, and we start having a meeting together to say OK, what does it mean to you and me? And how can we try to address it together as all water waste water companies together? So that for me is invaluable, as I say, icing on the cake.</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>But we are also looking at other SI GS now. So for the first time in M, we have</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>students coming from university and Queen's Management School and they are here sponsored by A you know so by them coming over it helps to create the whole thinking that we can only look at the risk now but to promote and encourage the risk managers of the future. So we're going to run the first event in Belfast about September time,</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>getting the universities to be involved, getting the insurers, the risk managers and everyone to be involved to say, Let's come together and let's talk and see how can we create the next generation of managers</span></p> <p><strong>Speaker 0</strong>: <span>by using the expertise of all that we have now to start creating an opportunity for them to grow. So, yes, the students are here, But more than that, by having our first event in September, we want to grow in SI G that will be an example of how a is working towards bringing the next generation of risk managers, and hopefully this model will then grow to other parts of the UK and Ireland as well.</span></p>
